Purported Galaxy Note 5 case render appears. Could this be Samsung’s next big thing?

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 5 flagship sometime this September, but some renders for the device have already shown up on the web. This is currently the sharpest image we’ve got of the upcoming smartphone, complete with what looks like a ruggedised an outer casing.

The renders however still don’t reveal all that much besides the S-Pen compartment and the speakers being located at the bottom of the phone instead of the rear like what they did with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. The camera also appears to be protruding at the back which is quite common among Samsung’s more current devices. If they are following the same design philosophy as they have with the S6 and S6 edge the Note 5 would likely have a glass back as well.

To recap, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumoured to either have a Exynos 7430 processor or the Exynos 7422 under the hood that is Samsung’s first all-in-one solution with an integrated CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and modem in a single chip. It is also likely to have 3GB RAM, a 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED display and a 13 megapixel and 8 megapixel camera combo. It also also rumoured to have a 3,220 mAh battery and would possibly be running Android Lollipop out of the box.

There’s still a fair bit of time to go between the launch so there’s still a chance that any of this might change so we suggest taking this with a pinch of salt. But there’s surely more to come as IFA2015 draws closer.
