The Apple Watch which went on sale in a handful of countries will be making its way to more markets on 26th June. The Apple Watch will be sold in our neighbour Singapore, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan, bringing up to a total of 16 countries for its official availability.
Initially sold exclusively online, Apple is finally opening up its sales to on-ground Apple Retail stores and resellers. According to the source, the in-store sales would begin around 18th June with selected models available. The Apple Watch is priced from US$349 (about RM1,300) for the smaller 38mm Apple Watch Sport and it can go all the way up to RM67,000 mark for its top end Apple Watch Edition in 18 Carat Gold.
So far there’s no official indication that Apple would be selling their first generation wearable in Malaysia. A few months back, it was spotted in our local SIRIM database but judging how Apple puts Malaysia on low priority in their iPhone sales, you probably might need to wait a little longer.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out our unboxing video below. To get to know this wearable better, you can read our Apple Watch First Impressions of the entire range including their most expensive variant.
