HTC has just introduced two new dual-SIM smartphones that share quite a few bits in common, with the exception of screen size and a few other features.
Both devices will be sporting the same octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 CPU as well as 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 2,600mAh battery. They will also be running on HTC Sense UI 6.0 based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The processor is also the same one that’s under the hood of the dual SIM Redmi Note so performance wise the devices should be relatively similar.
Here is where the devices get a little different.
The HTC Desire 826G+ will have a 5.5 inch display packing 720p as well as a 8 megapixel front camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera as well as BoomSound Support. The Desire 626G+ on the other hand has a slightly smaller 5 inch 720p HD display and has a 5 megapixel front and 13 megapixel rear camera combo instead.
The devices will be retailing for TWD 4,990 (about RM 596) for the Desire 626G+ while the Desire 826G+ will retail for TWD 5,990 (about RM 716). The new phones will be sold in Taiwan but there hasn’t yet been any word whether or not the phones will go global or at least be released in this region.
