Not long after the launch of their premium Nubia Z9, ZTE now has a budget phone that shows that entry level smartphones can be pretty darn good.
Dubbed the ZTE Q519T, the new phone will be retailing for a very budget friendly 599 CNY (about RM 349) and will be packing an absolutely massive 4,000mAh battery that is claimed to be able to last for 35 days on standby. This is pretty much proof that even an entry level device can pack long usage and it’s perfect for those migrating from dumb feature phones with no frills but exceptional battery life.
The phone itself will have a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC running at 1GHz mated to 1GB RAM as well as 8GB expandable memory up to 32GB. The display is a rather remarkable 5 inch 720p IPS screen considering the price, and the phone will also have LTE connectivity as well as dual-SIM support.
As for the cameras, the device will have a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front facing unit. Generally speaking this means you are getting a lot for what you are paying and if your grandma is complaining about having to charge her phone all the time, this phone might just be the thing she needs.
So far the phone has only been launched in China but sources say the ZTE Q519T will be released outside the country soon.
