Lenovo VIBE X2 to be the first smartphone with beautification for video

Lenovo has just announced some new features for the Lenovo VIBE X2 which is the first of its kind for smartphones: facial beautification for video.

The tech is already widely available for many smartphone cameras, smoothing out lines and imperfections on your face but this is a first for Lenovo. The new update also includes video-shooting performance upgrades as well as new modes like slow-motion recording, video playback magnification, high dynamic range support and of course the Facial Beautifier function.

The slow motion recording allows for videos to be taken in 120fps and capture in 720p HD clarity for those who love shooting fast paced sports. Its also possible to directly view the clips via a preloaded video player which can support up to 16 times slow motion playback so you can catch all that sick action.

The new video playback magnification feature is self explanatory but among the features of the player includes 4K compatibility on top of magnification and scrolling functions, where magnification can be activated during live playback with just a pinch of your fingers. Finally, the VIBE X2 can now support HDR processing for videos for accentuated depth, shadow detail and overall punchier videos and can even be viewed during video previews so you can check out your shots.

The update is said to be available directly from Lenovo but the local timeframe of it’s release is still unknown, but in the mean time you can check out the phone here.
