Digi doubles its Klang Valley 4G LTE footprint. Now available for prepaid.

Digi has just announced that it will be extending its 4G LTE coverage for more areas in the Klang Valley to provide more people with faster internet speeds and it’s now available for prepaid too.

With Digi’s existing 3G coverage, the extended LTE services are part of the company’s plan to bring better broadband access to 80% of the populated areas in Greater KL with a target of 2Mbps minimum speed. Digi says that their customers cn expect better indoor and outdoor internet experience as well as reduction of drop call rates. On top of that, Digi will be deploying more sites that runs on both 1800MHz and 2600MHz bands in the next few quarters. So this means you could enjoy faster speeds on Digi if you’re using a smart phone that supports only 1800MHz LTE bands.

At the moment, Digi’s 4G LTE coverage covers 79% of Klang Valley’s population and 33% of the population nationwide. The areas that are currently covered by Digi’s 4G LTE services include the Klang Valley, Penang, Kuantan, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, Labuan, Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Kampar, Langkawi and Port Dickson.

On top of this, Digi will be having a four-day roadshow at One Utama starting today and customers can sign-up for the new range of LTE postpaid DG Smart Plans, iDiGi Plans and Broadband plans. Potential customers will also have a choice of devices like the iPhone 6 to affordable options like the Lenovo A606, Meizu MX4 and Honor 6 available for free with selected DG Smart Plans. As for existing customers, they can get 4G LTE on their LTE enabled devices with a free LTE SIM upgrade at the roadshow.

Customers can also enjoy Digi’s 20th Anniversary giveaway for existing and new customers who purchase or sign up for new plans at the roadshow. Promotions inculde up to RM 240 rebate for 12 months postpaid or select a range of free smartphones for new DG SmartPlan sign ups. There will also be RM 60 rebates for DG Smart Family plans for 12 months and those switching to Digi will get an additional RM 200 rebate. Enterprise customers will also enjoy free MobiFis, smartphones and data for selected Biz Plus plans.
