Nokia is actively denying rumours that it wants to return to the mobile phone arena, as the Finnish company has no plans to make or sell any new smartphones. They have essentially stated that they are ditching the market completely in favour of working on it’s networking assets on top of an agreement with Microsoft that it won’t produce any new phones till 2016.
It’s a little sad but it looks like Nokia neither has the resources nor permissions necessary to develop any new phones, but there are talks of Nokia licensing their brand to a third party smartphone maker so if that works out, you might be getting Nokia phones of a totally different flavour altogether.
