Honor 4C and Honor 6 Plus are launching in Malaysia

In conjunction with Honor Malaysia’s first anniversary, they will be launching 2 new smart phones for the Malaysian market. As teased earlier, the Honor 6 Plus will be coming to our shores, offering a large 5.5″ display in an affordable package. For those waiting for the replacement of its cheap and cheerful Honor 3C, its new 5″ smart phone successor, the Honor 4C will be launched in Malaysia as well.

The first anniversary bash is happening on 28th April at KLCC. Head after the break on for more details of the two incoming smart phones.

The Honor 4C looks like a baby Honor 4X, with a compact 5″ IPS HD 720p display. According to the Honor 4C spec in Russia, it gets a similar 1.2GHz Octa-Core Kirin 620 processor with 2GB of RAM. It also gets 8GB of on-board storage that’s also expandable with microSD. Even the cameras are similar with a main 13MP rear camera and a front facing 5MP unit. Keeping the lights on is a 2,550mAh capacity battery, which is more than the Honor 3C’s 2,300mAh unit. Like the previous Honor 3C, it also support dual-SIMs but 4G LTE doesn’t seem to be listed. In Russia, the Honor 4C is priced at 8,990 Ruble (about RM609), while its bigger Honor 4X is priced at 11,990 Ruble (about RM813). With the current Honor 4X priced at RM619 (inclusive of GST), we wonder if Honor Malaysia could price their 4C at the same RM499 price point as the former Honor 3C.

If you want something with more grunt with a larger screen, the Honor 6 Plus is essentially the bigger brother of its current Honor 6. It features a larger 5.5″ Full HD display and underneath it runs on a high-spec 1.8GHz Octa-Core Kirin 925 processor with 3GB RAM along with expandable 32GB of storage. At the rear it gets dual 8MP main cameras while the front also features a 8MP selfie cam. Being a phablet device, it gets juiced up with a generous 3,600mAh capacity battery. The Honor 6 Plus supports dual-SIMs in 4G LTE.
