Having been leaked prior to last night’s event but was myseriously not announced, the Huawei P8 Lite continues to stay under wraps despite having a product page at the ready.
Some official images of the P8 Lite have already hit the internet, which is likely what we will be getting once it actually comes out. The mid-ranger is rumoured to be retailing for approximately €270 (about RM 1054) and the phone will be about 7.7mm thick and won’t have a solid metal body. The P8 Lite should run on Emotion UI 3.1 on top of Android 5.0 at launch and is likely to have 4GLTE and dual SIM capabilities like it’s siblings.
Under the hood you will have a 1.2GHz octa-core Kirin 620 chip like the Huawei Honor 4X, and it will run on 2GB RAM plus 16GB expandable storage via microSD slot. The phone will also be sporting a 720p screen, which is odd considering it should at the very least be 1080p given the screen size. As for the camera you will have a 13MP rear camera alongside a 5MP front snapper though there hasn’t been any mention of image stabilization or the sensor. In terms of battery life the phone will have a 2,200mAh battery powering the lot, though it doesn’t look like it will be removable.
