ASUS Zenfone 2 with 4GB RAM is now available in Malaysia

The ASUS ZenFone 2 series is probably one of the most anticipated “cheap and good” smart phones especially when it was announced as the first with 4GB of RAM. As grey import stocks start to trickle in, most of the ZenFone 2 models sold are the lower spec variant from a base ZE550CL version with 2GB RAM with HD 720p to the higher ZE551ML version with a 5.5″ Full HD display, 2GB RAM and 32GB Storage.

If you’re looking for the ultimate, the folks at DirectD has brought in the top of the line ZenFone 2 for RM1,299 (before GST). This features a 5.5″ Full HD display, Intel 64-bit Quad-Core 2.3GHz Atom processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13MP main + 5MP front cameras and a 3,000mAh capacity battery. As comparison, the similar spec with 2GB RAM is currently offered at RM1091 with GST. It is available now with limited quantities at their DirectD Gadget Mega Store along Federal Highway as well as their DirectD Subang outlet.

The official ASUS Malaysia stocks is expected to arrive soon within this quarter. They have sent invites for its regional South East Asia ZenFone 2 launch that’s happening in 2 weeks time. Hopefully they will have sufficient stocks to go around once it is officially launched in Malaysia.
