LG G4 packs a faster f/1.8 lens for better low light performance

LG will be announcing its new flagship soon and they have their home rival, the Samsung Galaxy S6 to beat. While the S6 boast a fast f/1.9 lens for both front and rear cameras, LG is raising the bar with a faster f/1.8 lens as highlighted in their first LG G4 teaser video.

The LG G4 is confirmed to have a 5.5″ Quad HD IPS LCD display that’s similar to the current LG G3 but the new generation display boasts better contrast ratio and increased brightness of up to 30%. In terms of hardware, it was speculated that the G4 would use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. The main camera is likely to be a 16MP shooter that’s further assisted by Optical Image Stabiliser.

For u folks in Malaysia, the future of LG’s mobile business is still a question mark and until now there’s no visibility if they would offer the LG G Flex 2 which was announced in January. If you’re interested, fret not as grey importers such as DirectD would likely to sell the device almost immediately after its international release.

The LG G4 will be announced on 28th April 2015 and we can more hints to come as we get closer to launch. Watch the teaser video after the break.
