Android 5.1.1 could land soon, to fix memory leak

Possibly one of the most eagerly awaited Android builds yet, Android 5.1.1 would be coming soon, not with major improvements in aesthetics or performance, but to plug a memory leak that has afflicted some users since the Android 5.0.1 update.

Google does know about the leak and has posted that the necessary repairs have been made because the company didn’t have the Android 5.1 update completely ready to go when it was rolled out, hence why the Android 5.1.1 update is quite important. Besides, who would want to see their RAM take a skydive before their very eyes?

There also might be the addition of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that would let users tap into a Wi-Fi network to communicate over Google owned VPN for a little more privacy. No word yet when it will roll out to other devices however the Nexus phones and Moto G will be the first to get the update.
