Some of you may have already noticed that that WhatsApp seems to have sprouted an extra tab at the top of the screen, and the popular messaging app has begun rolling out it’s Calls feature to everyone who owns the app. Who wouldn’t like voice calls over data?
The new user interface will now have three tabs: Calls, Chats and Contacts, and to initiate a voice call you just need to tap the dialer icon that’s available in the chat (on the upper right) to start the call or head directly to the Calls tab and pick a contact you wish to call. The only caveat is both users need to have the latest version of the app for the voice calling feature to work.
If you don’t have it yet, you will be getting it really, really soon.
