It may be an earnest April Fool’s prank on Microsoft‘s part but it’s one you really get to play around with. Harking back to the “good old days” of MS-DOS, you can now enjoy the experience all over again on your Windows Phone.
Turn your Windows Phone into a device of yesteryear in black and white with no notifications, Live Tiles or Toast, and think of your huge old CRT monitor and that little mountain of floppy drives you needed to store, well, everything. It’s all in good fun and a bit of nostalgia, even the camera shoots in ASCII, it’s hilarious.
They’ve made the MS-DOS Mobile emulator available on the Windows Phone store if you feel like giving it a go, or hit the video after the jump to check it out.
