ZTE’s Nubia series is getting a new line up with its new Nubia Z9 smart phones. Like its current Nubia Z7, 3 sizes will be available with the Nubia Z9 Max, Nubia Z9 and Nubia Z9 mini.
After seeing a couple of leaked photos, the purported specs have been revealed covering from its 5″ mini to its 5.5″ models.
The mainstream model would be the Nubia Z9 with a 5.2″ display that’s surrounded with a very narrow bezel. It pushes a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 and underneath it runs on the latest Snapdragon 810 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. On-board you get 32GB of storage and for taking pictures, it carries a respectable 16MP + 8MP camera combo.
For those who crave for something bigger, the Nubia Z9 Max goes up a notch with a 5.5″ display which could possibly push either a Quad HD (2560×1440) or a standard Full HD (1920×1080) resolution. The processor and RAM are similar with its standard Z9 and it is expected to carry a smaller 16GB of storage. The cameras are similar too with a 16MP main + 8MP front selfie cam. Keeping the lights on would be a 2,900mAH capacity battery.
Meanwhile the smallest and more economical unit of the lot is the Nubia Z9 mini. That settles for a lower 5″ HD 720p display and powering the device is an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM. The rest of the specs are not too shabby either with the same 16GB on-board storage, 16MP + 8MP cameras and also a generous 2,900mAh battery as well.
All 3 are expected to run on the latest Android 5.0.2 KitKat. Previously ZTE doesn’t really have concrete plans of introducing its Nubia series into Malaysia and hopefully they do this year if they plan to expand its foothold in the high-end segment.
