Android Lollipop is finally being rolled out for the OnePlus One, with the company announcing that the update will be available by the end of March. They’re so confident that they are willing to give away five units of its OnePlus One 64GB smart phones if they miss the release timeline.
The reason given for the delay was due to unforeseen OS signing issues and stability issues on Lollipop as well as driver updates that were needed to be implemented, which took longer than the brand has expected.
OnePlus is also planning to release their own Lollipop based ROM, OxygenOS which was built by their new in house developer team on March 27th. Meanwhile the Cyanogen variant CM 12S is to be released on or before March 30th, which is less than two weeks time.
