UPDATE: You can order the Meizu m1 Note now from MeizuMalaysia.com. It is also available starting tomorrow (19th March) from their 4 on-ground outlets listed below.

Looking for an affordable phablet with Full HD display, dual-SIM and 4G LTE support? The Meizu M1 Note will be available officially in Malaysia this week through its official distributor Blue Kor.

At the moment, they are only offering the 16GB version in either Pink, Blue and Green with the price tag of RM699. That’s similar to what DirectD was offering for the direct import units. Open sales will start this week and you can get it from Meizu Malaysia’s online store, Lazada and DirectD. For those prefer to get it on ground, it will also be available at Sungai Wang Plaza, Pearl Point (Old Klang Road), Klang Parade and DirectD in Subang.

To recap on the specs, the m1 Note goes head on with the likes of the Redmi Note, offering a similar sized 5.5″ display but it gets a higher spec Full HD (1920×1080) display and beefier internals. Under the hood, the m1 Note runs on a 64-bit MediaTek 1.7GHz MT6752 processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately there’s no microSD slot but it does have dual-SIM cards which supports 4G LTE in both FDD and TDD flavours.

For taking pictures, it gets a 13MP Samsung f/2.2 main camera while selfies are taken with a front facing 5MP f/2.0 shooter. For illumination, the camera gets a dual-tone LED flash. Juicing up the device is a non-removable 3,140mAh capacity battery and it runs on Flyme OS 4.0 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Design wise, the back is non-removable and it does look like a phablet version of the iPhone 5C.

If you’re looking for something smaller, there’s a standard Meizu m1 that comes with a more compact 5″ display. This competes directly with Xiaomi’s new Redmi 2 and it even carries the same price tag in China. We can expect Blue Kor to make this available in Malaysia much later.

You can read up more about the Meizu M1 Note in our announcement post.
