The latest HTC One M9 was supposed to go on sale starting today. Unfortunately its debut in home ground Taiwan was marred by an alleged software glitch that could lead to boot failures.

Fortunately it won’t take too long as HTC had apparently informed consumers that the delay would only push the launch until this Friday, 20th March. They will be updating its new devices with the latest software with the aim of making their latest flagship available as soon as possible.

Only the 32GB version would be available this week, as its larger 64GB model would be available only at the end of this month. To recap its earlier announcement, the HTC One M9 is sold at 21,900 TWD for 32GB and 23,900 TWD for 64GB. That’s equivalent to RM2,556 and RM2,790 respectively when converted directly.

For the rest of us in Malaysia, there’s still no news of its local launch but in the US, it is expected to be released on 25th March. On retailer B&H, the HTC One M9 32GB is listed at US$649, which is about RM2,402. Is the HTC One M9 a worthy replacement of the HTC One M8? Do check out our first impressions over here.
