Acer announces three new additions to it’s Liquid Z lineup

Acer seems to be on a roll today, announcing three more additions to their Liquid Z family of smartphones at MWC 2015.

The new trio of smartphones are the Acer Liquid Z220 and Z520 and the 64-bit Liquid Jade Z with the former being all-rounder affordable smartphones while the Jade Z is higher end offering.

More after the break

The Acer Liquid Z220 and Z520 will feature 4-inch WVGA (480×800) displays at 233ppi with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor mated to 1GB of RAM under the hood as well as a 2 megapixel front camera. The difference between the two is that the Z220 will have a 5 megapixel rear camera while the Z520 sports a 8 megapixel shooter and DTS Studio Sound Speakers. Both will have new textile patterns on the casings as well, to breathe some new life into Acer’s style.

The Acer Liquid Jade Z on the other hand is the successor to the Jade S, and the LTE ready smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap and Read Mode software that eliminates blue-light emissions, 64-bit Mediatek processor, 13 megapixel rear camera with a F1.8 aperture as well as a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The Jade Z will also be the sleekest of the lot, weighing in at just 110 grams and being 7.9mm thick. All three smartphones will be chock full of Acer-made software and features like Magic Selfie and come with Android Lollipop out of the box.

In Europe the Acer Liquid Jade Z and the Liquid Z220 will be available in March for €199 (RM 805) and €89 (RM 360) respectively while the Liquid Z520 will hit the streets in April for €109 (RM441).
