Rumour has it that ZTE‘s Nubia brand is going to be launching the Nubia Z9 at MWC this year, and we have just started seeing some leaks about the phone.
The Nubia brand tends to launch a new device every year and it’s usually around that time that we see a new flagship from the company, with the brand being ZTE’s answer to low price and high-performance devices that’s coming from OnePlus, Honor and Xiaomi. According to reports, the latest Nubia device will be the Nubia Z9 which will feature a premium design and build similar to many of the newer Chinese smartphones.
The image of the Nubia Z9 is from a promotional shoot in which Jay Chou’s wife is seen holding the phone. Other details about the phone are still up to debate but the build looks like an all-glass design with possibly an alloy chassis and a display size of around 5.5-5.7 inches. The smartphone could also have a Snapdragon 810 chip, but it’s also possible for ZTE to use a Mediatek MT6795 processor instead.
The current flagship is the Nubia Z7 is priced at 3,456 Yuan (about RM1,767) and it comes with a 5.5″ Quad HD display, 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. While the specs look similar to the Oppo Find 7, the Nubia 7 stands out with a 13MP main camera that is supported with Optical Image Stabilisation.
MWC is just around the corner so hopefully we find out more soon.
