MWC 2015 is due to start in a couple of days, and we are expecting to see a lot of new gadgets announced, and one of them is going to be the launch of the Meizu Ubuntu phone.
Seems that the device will be based on the Meizu MX4 and there has been a fair bit of speculation about the Ubuntu device. It initially appeared on a Weibo post where Meizu posted an image of an MX4 running Ubuntu with the phrase “More than better”. The image also linked to the English Meizu website as well as being teased on Facebook, meaning the smartphone will likely be seeing an international launch.
The Meizu MX4 their slightly smaller flagship smartphone that offers a 5.36″ Full HD 1080p display that’s toughened with Gorilla Glass 3. Underneath it runs on a 2.2GHz MediaTek Octa-Core MT6595 processor with 2GB of RAM and a 20.7 megapixel camera. On the software side of things, it runs on their Flyme 4.0 OS that’s based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
