Samsung has been dropping a lot of teasers and hints about its upcoming flagship smartphone in what looks like the year’s biggest hype war as Mobile World Congress draws nearer. Now they’ve dropped a hint that the Galaxy S6 will have a larger display, according to latest update to the Norway site’s ongoing teaser page which will be highlighting one rumour a day till we hit Samsung’s Unpacked event.
More after the break.
The site picks up some of the most popular rumours about the phone and posts them on it’s website, which could very well mean they are acknowledging that they are true or they could be completely pulling our leg, but that’s not exactly Samsung’s style. To recap, these are the ‘rumours’ we know of so far;
Recently we got a taste of what the new Galaxy smartphone could possibly look like with this recent render of the smartphone with an almost edge-to-edge screen, though this could also be a Galaxy S6 Edge variant.
Dual front-facing stereo speakers and a 16 megapixel camera, of which the camera we are more or less positive will be on the new phone but not so much the speakers.
That the Galaxy S6 is likely to have a powerful Exynos processor, blistering fast performance and a newer, more lightweight TouchWiz UI.
A metal body, of which we are already certain that the smartphone will indeed be sporting a metal frame which is supposedly inspired by it’s beautiful surroundings.
And now they are hinting at an even bigger screen. We don’t know for certain how big it’s going to be, but it’s safe to assume it’s could be around the 5.3 inch mark or perhaps even larger if this ‘rumour’ is to be believed, though it might be a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display. The coming days will likely bring more teasers so we will be keeping our eyes peeled.
We’ll find out more this coming Sunday at MWC 2015 (Monday 1:30AM Malaysian Time) and you can watch it live on their official YouTube channel.
