New colour-display Pebble leaked ahead of announcement

A new Pebble smart watch will be announced very soon as their countdown clock has less than 12 hours remaining. With a little bit of tinkering, someone has found an image of the new watch which now has been replaced with something else.

From the looks of it, the new Pebble is wider and has more rounded outlook compared to its current squarish design. Retained are the 3 buttons on the right and a single back button on the left side. The new Pebble is said to feature a colour e-paper display which is hinted subtly with a yellow screen.

Unlike other new smart watches, the new Pebble is still sticking to its basic roots with an e-paper display that’s now upgraded with colour. To support its new software platform, it will be getting a hardware upgrade which is said to be a Cortex M4 processor and it comes with a 6-axis gyroscope. In terms of battery life, Pebble is expected to delivery the same if not better 7 days of battery life on a single charge.

All shall be revealed tonight at 11PM (Malaysian time) on getpebble.com. We can’t be sure but Pebble might start selling its new watch tonight itself.
