Looks like the Xiaomi Mi 3 is getting a MIUI update to version 6.
However the update is still based on Android 4.4 KitKat rather than Lollipop so Xiaomi users might still have to wait a bit more to get their hands on Android’s latest OS.
MIUI version 6 is basically a flatter UI that’s similar to that of the newer Mi 4 and Mi Note, complete with fancy icons and animations which is said to be somewhat reminiscent of iOS 7 but is generally more simplified. The RedMi Note 4G is also getting an update to version 6 but it’s a bit strange that they’re not building a version based on Lollipop yet when many other devices are already getting the OS rolled out.
