Looks like BenQ is coming to MWC 2015 to show off a new flagship device, the BenQ F52. It will be on display at Chinese carrier Cheetah Mobile’s display at the convention, with the smartphone featuring a 5.2 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution as well as a 64 bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU.
Graphics will be sorted by a Adreno 430 GPU and will include 3GB of RAM alongside 16GB of expandable internal storage. As for the camera, the rear will feature a 13MP snapper with a Sony IMX214 sensor and a 8MP ‘super selfie’ camera will be on the front. The smartphone will also have 4G LTE Cat 9 connectivity at 450Mbps, alongside Android 5.0 and pre-installed apps produced by Cheetah Mobile like Clean Master, CM Security and Battery Doctor.
Looking at the specs, the BenQ F52 looks like it might stand with the big boys in terms of overall specs, which is saying something since the Taiwanese and Chinese smartphones are already set on conquering the market. But how will the BenQ F52 fare with the Snapdragon 810 is anyone’s guess, as the chip’s rather controversial performance is still at debate.
Pricing and availability will likely be announced at MWC itself so stay tuned for more info.
