Following its first generation Moto G, the current 2nd gen Moto G (2014) has finally received its Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update. It is about 377MB in size and is available as an OTA (Over the Air) download. You can check for this manually under Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
Despite having a pure Android experience, Motorola took quite a while for it to reach Malaysia. One good reason is they’ve waited for the latest Android 5.0.2 version, which would have ironed out its initial rough edges and it comes with an all new Material Design interface. Performance and battery life should see some improvements as it migrates from Dalvik to ART Runtime.
