The Redmi 2 will be coming officially to Malaysia but if you can’t wait any longer, DirectD is now offering it for RM459. Mind you that these are grey imported units which is covered by their own 24 months warranty. The Redmi 2 is probably the most affordable 4G LTE device that comes with a decent 4.7″ HD 720p display and it even support dual-SIM.

Powering the device is a newer 64-bit 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM and expandable 8GB of storage. It also gets a 8MP main + 2MP front cameras and it is juiced up by a larger 2,200mAh capacity battery. Out of the box, it runs on MIUI 6 that’s based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

In terms of full local 4G support, it isn’t clear what variant is DirectD offering. There are a total of 3 versions available but there’s one that supports our 4G FDD-LTE Band 3/7 as well as our 3G/2G frequencies. If you’re interested, hit the source link below.
