MWC: HTC sets date to unveil new device

The Consumer Electronics Show may be a technological showcase but for the latest in mobile technology, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is where it’s at, and it looks like this year’s installment of the largest mobile technology event in the world is going to be one of the best.

Per tradition, you can expect new devices from all the big players to be announced at MWC and one of them will be HTC. The manufacturer has confirmed, via an invite sent out to the media, that it will be unveiling something at MWC, choosing March 1st for the big unveil.

As its still a good month and a bit away from the day, HTC’s invite doesn’t reveal much save for a starry sky, highlighted by a single burst of light and the phrase “utopia in progress”. It’s not much to work with but the invite could suggest a focus on improved low light camera performance amongst other things.

In any case, we’ve confirmed our seats for MWC and will be at the HTC event to bring you the latest, so stay tuned.
