The recently announced Oppo Mirror 3 will be available in Malaysia sometime next week and will sell for a reasonable RM898.
Oppo describes the Mirror 3 as “cost-effective” device designed specifically for the masses, so don’t expect top-of-the-line specs. For the price, the Mirror 3 brings a modest 4.7-inch 720p (312ppi) display and a 64-bit 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM.
On-board, it gets 8GB of storage and thankfully there is a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 128GB. There’s also a two SIM card slots with LTE support. For taking pictures, the Mirror 3 gets a a Sony-sourced 8MP, f/2.0 main camera with back-side illumination and 5MP front shooter. Power is supplied by a 2,000mAh battery with fast charging technology that Oppo claims is 60% faster than conventional charging (charging from zero to 100% in 90 minutes). The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Color OS 2.0.1 UI on top and comes with a built-in infrared blaster as well.
So, what do you think?
If we’re honest, for about RM100 more you can get the Honor 6 at RM999. The Honor 6 is unbeatable in the under-RM1,000 segment with its full HD 5-inch display, a fast 1.7GHz Octa-Core Kirin 920 processor, massive 3GB RAM, capable 13MP, a huge 3,100mAh battery and CAT6 LTE. No brainer.
