UPDATE: LG Malaysia is not just bringing in their LG G3 flagship smart phone. Its affordable dual-SIM LG G3 Stylus with a 5.5″ qHD (960×540) screen and MediaTek processor has also appeared on our local SIRIM database.
UPDATE 2: LG G3 and LG G3 Stylus will be on sale in Malaysia on 22nd December. Here’s list list of LG Mobile dealers.
LG appears to be making a come back in our local mobile scene as they have started teasing the arrival of its LG G3 flagship in Malaysia. It took them long enough and it is expected to go on sale before 24th December in limited quantities.
The LG G3 was announced in May and there was a false alarm that LG Malaysia would actually bring it in officially. For those who can’t wait, Malaysians had turned to retailers such as DirectD and IPMart for the imported stocks.
In terms of specs, the LG G3 was quite a beast with a 5.5″ Quad HD (2560×1440) IPS display, that pushes 538 ppi (pixels per inch) in density. Powering it is a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that’s mated to 3GB RAM and has 32GB of on-board storage. For taking shake-free images, the G3 comes with a 13MP camera with an optical image stabiliser which is further assisted with a unique Laser Auto Focus feature. Meanwhile the front has a 2.1MP f/2.0 shooter.
Keeping the lights on is a 3,000mAh capacity battery and the back also comes with LG’s signature rocker and power buttons placed right smack in the middle. In terms of software updates, LG claims to be one of the first to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop for the G3 that’s gradually released worldwide.
