Not wanting to drag its feet any longer, Samsung appears to be rolling out its latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5. It is reported to be rolling out in Poland and this should be followed by other European countries. This makes it the fastest software update from Samsung.

The Lollipop update brings a couple of changes to its TouchWiz interface and brings it inline with Google’s Material Design. Some of the new changes include a new lockscreen with notification, heads-up notification, smart lock and mirror link. The fingerprint functionality claims to be improved as well with a new lock screen from the Galaxy Note 4. Performance should be improved too as Android 5.0 uses ART runtime.

So far there’s no mentions of other markets and hopefully it won’t take too long for them to roll it out in our region.

Check out the Galaxy S5 Lollipop Preview from Sammobile after the break.
