Most of the smart watches we’ve seen are basically a digital watch piece attached to a normal strap. Now Sony is experimenting with something new and it is called the FES Watch. Completely made out of E-Paper from the strap to strap, this is looking like their first fully customisable digital watch.
Unlike previous Sony smart watches, the FES Watch is crowdfunded and so far they have already exceeded their goal of 1,000,000 Yen by 3 times. In terms of functionality, the watch isn’t actually as functional as today’s smart watches and this helps to make the overall device thin. So all you’ll get is a customisable appearance but it does get a whopping 60 days of use with a single charge. According to crowd funding site Makuake, the FES Watch will be available sometime in May next year.
