HTC is working on another mid-range device and the smart phone you’re seeing above is the purported Desire 620. This looks like an upgrade over its current Desire 610 that’s priced at RM999. As you would expect, it gets a couple of upgrades including an up-sized 5″ display that does HD 720p resolution and some minor updates for its internal hardware.
Under the hood, its mid-range processor is a newer 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 that supports 4G LTE and 64-bit processing. No surprises with the rest of the specs as it comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB of on-board storage and a main 8MP camera.
The front still retains a pair of BoomSound stereo speakers and selfie shots should be better thanks to a bigger 5MP front facing camera. On-board it gets a modest 2,100mAh capacity battery and it is spotted running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI. The Desire 620 looks like a decent upgrade from HTC but with the rise of affordable 4G LTE smart phones like the Honor 6 and BenQ F5, consumers are definitely getting spoilt for choice.
