Hotlink, the prepaid brand under Maxis is offering high speed 4G LTE data for cheap and you get to enjoy a gig of data from as low as RM5/day. This is part of its November promotion where you get to subscribe 1GB of mobile internet at RM5 for 24 hours or RM11 for 72 hours validity.
This makes it perfect if you plan on using your smart phone as a WiFi hotspot or you have a sudden need to watch HD YouTube videos back to back on 4G. If you’re a #Hotlink subscriber, speeds will be throttled to 64kbps once you’ve finished your quota and there’s no excess charge. For other Hotlink prepaid plans, the expensive pay per use rates would kick in, so it is advisable that you have an active mobile internet plan at all times.
The 1GB internet promotion is valid from 17th November until 30th November. You can subscribe to as many passes as you wish if you need more data in a single day. To activate, just dial *100*2# and select FAAAST Internet Promo II. Of course, make sure you have a 4G LTE smart phone and a 4G activated SIM before subscribing.
