Longing for the latest Nexus 9 tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop? You can buy one in Malaysia thanks to DirectD which has been quick enough to offer grey import units locally. At the moment, they are only offering the WiFi version and the 16GB capacity unit is priced at RM1,459.

The recently introduced Nexus 9 is an 8.9″ tablet that’s manufactured by HTC. The display pushes a 2048×1536 resolution in 4:3 aspect ratio that’s similar to the iPad mini and Xiaomi Mi Pad. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and like other HTC devices, it also has a pair of front firing Boom Sound stereo speakers.

Underneath, the Nexus 9 runs on a newer 64-bit 2.3GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset with 2GB of RAM. Storage wise, there’s a choice of either 16GB or 32GB, and there’s also a 4G LTE variant as well. It also has an 8MP f/2.4 camera with LED flash at the back while the front has a 1.6MP shooter. With a 6,700mAh capacity battery on-board, the Nexus 9 is 7.95mm thick and it weighs 425 grams for WiFi or 436 grams for its 4G LTE variant.
