Sony Xperia Z2 and Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet are getting PS4 Remote Play support

The latest Sony Xperia Z3 series comes with a unique PS4 Remote Play feature that lets you play PS4 games remotely over WiFi without the need of a HDTV. Initially supported for the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, it looks like the earlier Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet would be supported as well as revealed in one of Sony’s app-based documentation.

According to the source, it will be officially available in November and this could come along with a software update for the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet. The PS4 Remote is pretty easy to hook up as you’ll just need to pair your PS4 DualShock 4 controller and have a proper WiFi connection to your PS4. To make it more practical, Sony has introduced a game controller mount that hooks up the wireless controller with your phone in a single piece.
