The affordable FonePad 7, which is their 7″ tablet with telephony functions is now getting KitKat update as promised. This is for the FE170CG model which is currently on sale at only RM439 for the 8GB capacity version.
FonePad 7 owners can download the update (KVT49L.WW_fonepad-11.2.3.17.3-20141006) over the air and we suggest using WiFi instead of your 3G mobile data for this. If you haven’t received any update notification, you can check manually at About> System Update. It might take a while to download as the update is being pushed in batches.
