BenQ is making a come back to the mobile business in Malaysia and they have introduced 2 new affordable 4G LTE Android smart phones. For Malaysia they have announced the BenQ F5 and BenQ T3 that are priced below RM800.
BenQ used to make mobile phones in the early 2000 and now they are jumping onto the smart phone bandwagon that’s running on Android platform. Malaysia is seen as an important market for them and we are the first country to launch these models outside of Taiwan.
Starting with the BenQ F5, this is their higher smart phone offering that’s priced at RM799. It features a 5″ HD 720p IPS display and a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM. On-board it gets a generous 16GB of on-board storage which is expandable via microSD up to 64GB. The display on the BenQ F5 features a Low Blue Light Technology that reduces blue light which is harmful to your eyes.
It also gets 13MP f/2.2 camera at the rear and a front facing 2MP camera. For better imaging capabilities, its camera boast a 4X Ultra Sensitivity mode which provides better light-capturing from each pixel. Out of the box, it runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with its Q Home UI interface. Overall the BenQ F5 is 8.5mm thick and weighs 135g with its 2,520mAh battery.
Next is the BenQ T3 which is slightly more affordable at RM599. It gets a smaller 4.5″ qHD (960×540) resolution IPS display and it runs on the same 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 1GB RAM. On-board it gets a smaller 4GB storage that’s also expandable with microSD.
For imaging, it is a notch lower with a 8MP main camera while front facing shots are handled by a VGA unit. Keeping the lights on is a non-removable 1,900mAh capacity battery. Similar with the higher spec BenQ F5, it also runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Q Home UI.
Both models are available through ECS ICT Berhad distribution and they are available in either Elegant White or Fashion Black. For more information, visit BenQ F5 and T3 product page.
