The challenger telco U Mobile has kicked off its new Vision 2 million campaign, with an ambitious goal of getting 2 million new subscribers on its network. Just recently, U Mobile has embarked on a massive network expansion plan where it will invest in building 2,000 new 4G LTE and 3G sites nationwide.
If it does achieve its goal of 2 million new subscribers by 31st December 2014, they will be making this coming New Year’s Day celebration extra special with Free on-network calls and Free Internet surfing on 1st January 2015. In addition, those that port in from other network to U Mobile Prepaid from 16th September onwards will get Free Internet for 1 year (250MB x 12 months), provided they top up RM30 each month.
For existing U Mobile subscribers, they are making it more rewarding for you and your friends to jump on board to their network. With every successful referral, both you and your friend will get RM3 free credit. That’s not all, you’ll also get 10% of their monthly top ups for the first 6 months.

To achieve 2,000,000 new subscribers, U Mobile would need to get an average of 18,868 customers per day from now until 31st December. So far it looks like they are on track with their counter showing 17,500 for its first day.
