Sony had produced yet another budget Android smartphone under the Xperia Series. Succeeding the Xperia E1, is the Xperia E3. Coming in single and dual-sim models, in 4 colors, namely black, white, bronze and pastel yellow this Autumn 2014.
The Xperia E3 packs a 4.5-inch IPS display , with a resolution of 854×480 pixels. It will also be shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat. It will have a 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front facing shooter, and packed with Sony’s suite of photo and video software, including HDR, superior auto, and Timeshift Burst.
It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor at 1.2GHz, alongside with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU chipset. It will have expandable storage of up to 32GB, with a standard 4GB of built-on storage ready to use.
New features in the Xperia E3 will be ‘Shake to start’, an app that allows users to customize shortcuts to their favorite or most used apps, by holding the device and flicking the wrist, similar to Sony’s old ‘Shake to shuffle’ feature seen on their Walkman Phone Series . 4G LTE will be provided, alongside with the usual WiFi, A-GPS, Micro USB connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
The device will weigh a light 144 grams, with a battery capacity of 2330mAh, expected to provide 12 hours and 20 minutes of talk time, and 706 hours worth of standby. For more information, head over to the Sony Xperia E3 product page.
