MaxisONE expands its offering with two new MaxisOne Business packages

Maxis has launched MaxisONE Business, a one stop mobile communications plan for businesses that is available in two new packages: vanilla MaxisOne Business with 2GB high speed Internet quota for RM148 per month, and MaxisOne Business Extras with 4GB high speed Internet quota for RM188 per month.

Both plans offer unlimited voice calls and SMS to all networks including all fixed lines, and after the user exceeds their high speed LTE and/or 3G quota they will continue to receive unlimited Internet access throttled to 64kbps at no additional charge. Additional high speed quota can be purchased at RM10 for 200MB, RM20 for 500MB and RM30 for 1GB. For companies with smaller mobile appetitive, the MaxisOne Plan Lite of RM78 per month is being offered as well, with 1GB of data and unlimited voice calls and SMS that’s applicable only within Maxis/Hotlink network.

MaxisONE Business also comes with Business Grade Services that are a 24/7 dedicated customer service hotline; Telecom Expense Manager that gives administrators the tools to analyse bill and usage trends among all company lines with deeper insights into the usage of top spenders, and complete overview into Account Contract Information; and Mobile Device Management that gives users secure access to company data on their mobile devices.

Both plans can be upgraded with paid add-ons. Customise Mobility Solutions offers 3 affordable IDD bundles with fixed monthly talk times for RM30 per month for each bundle below:

Asia Top 16 IDD (120 mins/month)
Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam

Biz Top 25 IDD (90 mins/month)
Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Germany, Japan, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA, Vietnam

Biz Countries IDD (200 mins/month)
China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, USA

Users can also choose to add Device Protection for RM29 per month that provides express device replacement, comprehensive device coverage that includes cover for accidental damage, theft, and unauthorised use. Device Protection also provides subscribers with coverage for the cost of a rental phone if they lose theirs when travelling overseas.

As a final draw, MaxisONE Business plans also incorporate Device Fund that gives users flexibility in applying device subsidies they may be entitled to.

MaxisONE Business is largely a bundling of existing Maxis offers that is distinguished only by its offer of unlimited voice calls and SMS to all networks. For many users this may not only reduce their monthly mobile phone bills but for business it will make the cost of mobile communications more predictable.

The claim of unlimited Internet access has all the substance of a lie but for the fact of not being one, and I suspect that Business Grade Services will matter to only the finest sliver of MaxisOne Business subscribers.

“By utilising a one-stop solution that goes beyond mobile services, the MaxisONE Business plan enables our customers to just make ONE decision and have access to MANY solutions to help drive performance and growth,” said Abraham Foss, Maxis’ Head of Enterprise. Do you agree or is Abe selling unlimited Internet access? Tell us in the comments.
