These days it is common to find yourself owning a laptop, a tablet and a smart phone. While each of them fits well for different scenarios, is there room for a hybrid convergence device? To find out, Microsoft has conducted a survey among working professionals in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea and Malaysia.

Results show that most working adults spend half of their time on the move and device weight is also a concern. Majority of those holding back from buying a tablet had responded that they have yet to find a tablet that could give them the best experience of a laptop and a tablet.

This is where Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 3 comes in as it offers the power of a full fledged Windows 8.1 laptop with a form factor of a tablet. Today, it is officially launched across 28 markets including Malaysia where it is sold from RM2,729.

To illustrate the findings of their survey, Microsoft has released an infographic that you can view after the break.
