If you’ve been using a tablet to make phone calls on a daily basis, you can step up to the new Galaxy Tab S 8.4 which is offered from as low as RM1,199. For this device, Maxis is bundling it with SurfMore plans which offers lower monthly commitment with its data-centric plan.
The bundled pricing are as follows and they are tied with 24 months contract.
SurfMore 30 – 1GB (RM30/month) – RM1,399
SurfMore 50 – 2GB (RM50/month) – RM1,199
Maxis is requiring an upfront payment of RM500 (SurfMore 50) or RM150 (SurfMore 30) during sign up, which will be refunded back to your bill across 5 months.
To recap on the specs, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 which retails for RM1,699 comes with a 8.4″ Super AMOLED display that does ultra-high 2560×1600 pixels resolution. It is powered by their very own Exynos 5 Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of expandable storage space. Being a flagship tablet, it gets an ultra-thin 6.6mm body and the home button also doubles up as a finger print scanner. Unlike its bigger Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the Tab S 8.4 comes with an ear-piece speaker so you can actually hold this up to your ear for voice calls.
