Recently Oppo Malaysia has teased a new smart phone which is expected to bring 4G LTE connectivity to the masses. Now the device turns out to be the Neo 5, which basically an updated version of its Oppo Neo that comes with 4G LTE connectivity.
Priced at RM598, this is probably the one of most affordable 4G LTE smart phone you can get. In terms of specs, it is similar with the previous Neo with a 4.5″ screen that does 854×480 pixels resolution. It runs a more trusted 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, which is quite similar to the Moto G 4G LTE edition. On-board it gets 4GB of on-board storage but it is expandable with microSD card up to 32GB.
For taking pictures, it gets a 5MP main camera and a front facing 2MP unit. If taking Selfies is your thing, the Neo 5 also comes with a Beautify 4.0 enhancement feature. Juicing up the device is a 1,900mAh capacity battery and overall it weighs 132.5 grams with a thickness of 9.2mm. As comparison, the Moto G is heavier and thicker at 143 grams and 11.6mm respectively.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean along with its ColorOS which offers the similar on-screen gesture controls like its higher end Oppo N1 and Find 7. The Neo 5 is expected to go on sale sometime next week.
