The upcoming iPhone 6 will be bigger than before with its purported 4.7″ and 5.5″ sizes. Currently their iPhone 5S with its 4″ screen has been doing reasonably okay with its 1,560mAh capacity but as the screen gets bigger, it is natural to expect higher battery consumption like its bigger Android counterparts.
For the next iPhone, its purported batteries have surfaced revealing a 1,810mAh capacity unit for the smaller 4.7″ and a much bigger sized 2,915mAh for its alleged 5.5″ model. The iPhone 4.7-inch’s direct nemesis is undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and that packs a slightly higher 1,860mAh capacity battery. For its bigger 5.5″ model, having a 2,915mAh battery might sound little compared to other phablets that are having at least 3,200mAh capacity. But don’t forget that Apple devices have been quite frugal with all day battery life with half the capacity of its Android competition.
The new iPhones are expected to be revealed at their upcoming September 9 event.
