The HTC One E8 is officially launched in Malaysia with the retail price of RM1,699. Instead of a metal-clad body, the One E8 packs the similar underpinning of its flagship One M8 except for some minor differences with its lighter polycarbonate body.
You can purchase the One E8 outright at all HTC Authorised resellers nationwide. In terms of colours, HTC Malaysia is offering Misty Gray, Polar White and Electric Crimson.
The HTC One E8 has a 5″ Super Clear LCD display with Full HD resolution and it runs on the top of the line 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM. On-board storage is identical too at 16GB with expandable microSD slot which support cards up to 128GB. It also supports faster 4G LTE connectivity and juicing up the device is a 2,600mAh capacity battery that can be prolonged with its Extreme Power Saving mode.
Like any other flagship HTC device, the One E8 also boast a front firing Boom Sound speakers and instead of a duo Ultrapixel camera, it settles for a more mainstream 13MP f/2.2 shooter with assisted LED flash. Meanwhile selfies are handled by its wide angle 5MP shooter. Another difference with the One M8 is that it lacks an InfraRed blaster which can be used as a universal remote.
Also available for the One E8 is its Dot View case which gives you a glimpse of your phone notifications without opening the cover. Out of the box, the One E8 runs on a more current Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0.
