HTC One E8 Malaysia launch happening next week

The new HTC One E8 will be launched in Malaysia next week on 13th August. This is the polycarbonate alternative of its metal-clad HTC One M8 where it offers similar underpinnings at a lower price. Outright, the HTC One E8 is expected to be priced at RM1,699 and it is likely to be exclusively bundled on contract with Maxis.

To recap, the One E8 gets the same 5″ Full HD display, Quad-Core 2.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage which can be expanded with microSD up to 128GB. While the body is made of plastic, it still maintains its upmarket look and feel while its Sense 6.0 UI provides a polished user experience. Instead of a Duo Camera set up, the One E8 gets a traditional 13MP camera with a single LED flash and it still retains its signature Boom Sound front stereo speakers. Like its more premium sibling, the One E8 also supports 4G LTE and it comes with a single nano-SIM slot.

Head after the break to watch our hands-on video of the HTC One E8.
