The affordable Redmi 1S will be offered on contract with DiGi very soon. With its low price of just RM419, you can expect the device to be offered for free on contract but it will probably tie in with a long 24 months duration.
As comparison, its high-end Mi 3 was offered for Free with 24 months contract of DG SmartPlan 148. It is likely that the Redmi 1S would be offered for free as well but at lower monthly commitment plans. To recap on the specs, the Redmi 1S is Xiaomi’s affordable dual-sim smart phone that comes with a 4.7″ HD 720p display and a capable Quad-Core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM.
