Vivo Xshot now available for pre-orders in Malaysia

Vivo, which is yet another Chinese smart phone maker is now accepting pre-orders for its photography focused Xshot smart phone. The Vivo XShot is priced at RM1,599 and the pre-orders are done via Facebook private messaging. To sure a unit, they would require a deposit of RM100 upfront. At the moment, they haven’t reveal its actual launch date but it is likely to be available sometime in mid-August as its pre-order period is happening from now until 5th August. For the first 100, Vivo Malaysia is also giving exclusive gift packages as well.

The Vivo XShot is available in two specs – Elite and Flagship versions. The top of the line flagship variant comes with a faster 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the Elite version is a notch down with a Snapdragon 800 that’s mated to 2GB of RAM, while the storage is halved to 16GB capacity. For now, only the Elite version is available and the Flagship variant is expected to be priced higher at RM1,799.

Over at the front, the XShot gets a large 5.2″ display that does Full HD resolution. Taking pictures is the Xshot’s main highlight as the main camera is a 13MP unit from Sony with F/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilisation. The XShot is capable of shooting High Definition 4K videos and it also comes with a dedicated camera button for instant capture. Meanwhile at the front, Selfie shots are taken by its wide-angle 8MP camera which also is assisted with LED light as well. Apart from great pictures, the Xshot also boasts better sound quality with its built-in Amplifier.

It may not be as wafer thin as its X3S but it is still remarkably slim at 7.99mm while packing a decent sized 2,600mAh capacity battery. For those with the need for faster internet speeds, the XShot also comes with 4G LTE support for both 1800MHz/2600MHz bands.
