Xiaomi expected to launch Mi 4 on 22nd July with a steel body

The next big thing from Xiaomi will be announced very soon on the 22nd July. This is likely to be their upcoming smart phone that has been rumoured as the Mi 4. The teaser came from Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin and he added that the event will be about “The journey of a piece of steel metal”.

The Mi 4 has been leaked a couple of times revealing a clean front design and a metallic frame at the sides. Being a successor of its current Mi 3 smart phone, Xiaomi would continue to pack the best spec which is likely to be a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. You can also expect 4G LTE support which is currently lacking on its current models. The event will be held in Beijing at 2:00PM.

The Xiaomi Mi 3 is currently priced at RM769 and most recently their most affordable Redmi 1S smart phone had went on sale at RM419. Its bigger Redmi Note will be available 2 weeks from now at RM509.

Like all Xiaomi products, they will be making their devices available internationally with similar pricing close to mainland China. The latest device that went on sale in China is their Mi Pad which costs less than RM1000. It is expected to be available in Malaysia sometime later.
